• Day 1: Passu Village / Borith Lake to Passugar Camp (3,200m / 4–5 Hours Trek): Meet your certified Wakhi mountain guide and porter team in Passu Village (2,400m). Drive a short 4x4 track to the turquoise oasis of Borith Lake (2,600m). Embark on the trail, ascending dusty moraine switchbacks with magnificent views over the jagged seracs of the Passu Glacier. Cross the white ice of Passu Glacier along a time-honored shepherd route, stepping over narrow crevasses with guide assistance. Reach the green shepherd oasis of Passugar (3,200m), nestled beneath sheer granite walls beside a cold glacial stream. Set up camp, enjoy a hot trail meal, and marvel at the illuminated granite faces of the Passu Cones across the valley.
• Day 2: Passugar to Luzhdur Summer Pasture (3,650m / 4 Hours Trek): A steady, scenic ascent through wild juniper groves and fragrant alpine sagebrush. The trail climbs the steep lateral ridge known as Luzhdur. As altitude increases, vegetation transitions into alpine turf carpeted with blue gentians, yellow edelweiss, and wild onions. As you crest the summit of Patundas (4,170m), the full 360-degree Karakoram amphitheater opens in staggering splendor: to your right, the 57km Batura Glacier twists into the horizon; to your left, Passu Glacier plunges toward the valley floor; ahead, the colossal 7,611m pyramid of Shispare looms so close you can hear avalanches thunder safely down its distant ice cliffs. Establish high camp on the ridge meadow. Savor an unforgettable sunset as the evening light turns the Passu Cones into flaming crimson spires.
• Day 4: Full Day Exploration of the Patundas Ridge & Yak Meadows: Wake up at dawn for hot coffee as the rising sun paints the 7,000m summits in pink and gold. Spend a leisurely day exploring the extensive ridgeline, photographing endemic alpine flora, watching herds of grazing Himalayan yaks, and scanning cliffs for elusive Himalayan ibex and golden eagles. In the afternoon, visit the seasonal Wakhi women's dairy huts to learn about ancient cheese-making traditions and mountain life. • Day 5: Descent to Yunz Valley & Return to Passu Village (12km / 5 Hours): Begin the long, exhilarating descent down the northern ridge into the picturesque Yunz Valley, following clear shepherd paths through willow and birch trees. Reach the Karakoram Highway near the suspension bridges of Passu. Rejoin your private transport for the short drive to your hotel in Passu or Karimabad.
