The 5-Day Hunza-Nagar Grand Explorer Itinerary

To truly experience the contrast between the sunny clifftop fortresses of Hunza and the deep, glacier-draped valleys of Nagar, a minimum of five days is highly recommended:

• Day 1: Gilgit to Central Hunza via Rakaposhi Viewpoint: Depart Gilgit along the KKH, stopping at the Chalt continental collision zone and Ghulmet for tea beneath the 5,000m vertical face of Rakaposhi. Ascend to Karimabad, exploring the cobblestone bazaars and dining on traditional Hunza walnut cakes.
